Kathleen Wildwood

Founder and Director, Wildwood Institute

Kathleen has studied herbs and healing for over 20 years, in the scientific, shamanic and wise woman traditions. She began as a pre-med student at the University of Michigan, earning her BA. She then began an eclectic study in holistic medicine, training with noted herbalist Susan Weed, Amylee of the Iroquois Nation, and others.

She has worked at the Madison Community Health Center as a medical social worker and at Community Pharmacy as the resident herbal expert. She began her private practice as a holistic health practitioner in 1995, and has been teaching since 1996. The former President of the Madison Herbal Institute, she has taught herb & health classes at Meriter Hospital, Edgewood College, University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center and University of Wisconsin Medical School.
